Whistle while you work..

February 25th, 2009 by Zach Grzeskowiak - Customer Relations

theairshipcoverborderft4One of the best perks about this job is being able to listen to music throughout the average workday. Sure, there are some limitations (the iPod has to be a shuffle) but, I can’t complain. Being a musician myself, I often find that listening to music makes me take my mind off work, thus making the day go by wayyyyy faster. But let me cut straight to the chase, more times than others I come across bands that I listen to on any given day, and think “Wow, this band is amazing! I want to show all my friends.” and why not expand my “friends” to all of you guys reading! I plan on doing this periodically, so here’s the first, Port Blue.

Port Blue is an all instrumental band, that actually isn’t really a band at all, it’s one guy by the name of Adam Young.  Adam actually runs Port Blue as a side project to his main endeavor “Owl City” which also is just him.  Back to what I was saying, Port Blue is an all instrumental project, that mainly focuses their sound on ambient loops that are either guitar or piano based, and digital drums.  The sound on each song is very layered, and groovy as well. Adam actually describes Port Blue as “Port Blue is music that can be heard playing in elevators, hotel lobbies, airports, museums and restaurants inside my head. It is the soundtrack to my dreams. If I wrote music for movies, this is what my film scores would sound like. Much of the aesthetic of Port Blue is not what lies in the recordings but rather what is extracted from them.”

Port Blue has released one Full Length and one E.P, both on iTunes.  Be sure to give them a listen if you enjoy ambient, instrumental grooves.

Styloid, our iPhone and iPod touch Stylus

February 23rd, 2009 by Ryan Meyers - Creative Director

beauty2Introducing Styloid, RadTech’s first touch device Stylus. Designed especially for the iPod touch and iPhone, the Styloid is great for users with large fingers, long fingernails or those who simply live in a cold climate. Available with two different tips: rounded and beveled.

“Both models feature rugged aluminum construction with polished stainless steel accents and pocket clips. Striking in appearance, the round tip model is hard-anodized in a satin black finish, and the capped bevel tip in a striking high-gloss black. Both are free of any sharp edges which could scratch the device being controlled.”

RadTech hops on the Social Networking “Buzz”

February 10th, 2009 by Zach Grzeskowiak - Customer Relations

With the (not so) recent Internet Phenomenon known as Social Networking, Internet users have begun a whole new quest on the Internet. Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter have made it cool to see what everyone is doing, all the time, some even in 140 characters or less ;) .  With the Web 2.0 buzz doing everything but shrinking, RadTech decided that it was finally time to hop on the ‘ole bandwagon?! We just wanted to take this time to plug our other homes on the web.

ARC Case for iPhone 3G Review at iPodObserver

February 4th, 2009 by Ryan Meyers - Creative Director

ARC for iPhone - RedBob LeVitus puts our ARC slider case for iPhone up against the iFrogz Luxe case. Read an excerpt from his review below:

“In fact, if I didn’t know better I’d think the RadTech ARC was the new and improved version of the iFrogz Luxe. Side-by-side you’d be hard pressed to notice any differences at all. The biggest difference is that the RadTech ARC case has a half-circle clasp on the back where the upper and lower pieces connect where the iFrogz Luxe has a full-circle clasp.”
